We have reestablished oil and natural gas production from the previously suspended Amguri field in NE India to provide a strong foundation for the company going forward. In the summer of 2007, we built upon this foundation with the successful drilling of two appraisal wells on the block, extending the field to the west. Starting in Q1 2008, we are planning for up to 8 wells on the block to significantly increase production and cash flow.
Three exploration wells are being planned for our AA-ON/7 exploration block, one shallow gas prospect and two deeper sub-thrust prospects. Up to seven wells are being planned on our non-operated AA-ONN-2003/2 block, all in 2008.
We are negotiating with ONGC for an interest in and operatorship of the Changpang oil field and five more exploration blocks all located in the State of Nagaland, also in NE India. This business development opportunity will significantly increase the land holding of Canoro and provide substanial opportunities for future growth. |
